Our Mission
The K9 Legacy Foundation is dedicated to supporting law enforcement canines in their final moments by funding end-of-life services and preserving their remarkable legacies through memoirs. We strive to ensure these loyal partners receive the dignity and recognition they deserve for their selfless contributions to keeping our communities safe.
We exist to ensure that every law enforcement K9 receives dignified end-of-life care, is honored through memorial and cremation services, and has their story preserved through a personalized legacy memoir.
End-of-Life Care
We fund dignified euthanasia services for retired law enforcement K9s so handlers never face that burden alone.
Cremation & Urn
Professional cremation services with ashes returned in an honorable urn befitting a hero.
Legacy Memoir Plaque
Custom engraved steel and wood memorial plaques with UV-printed portrait — a permanent tribute to their service.

How We Help
From loss to legacy — we walk alongside handlers every step of the way.
A K9 Passes
A handler's retired law enforcement K9 passes or needs dignified euthanasia. The K9 must be a certified or formerly certified law enforcement K9.
Submit a Request
Submit your memorial request within 60 days via our online form. Required: death certificate or euthanasia invoice + most recent certification or retirement letter.
We Handle the Rest
We cover up to $500 in euthanasia and cremation costs, or reimburse if already paid. Ashes are placed in an honorable urn befitting a hero.
Legacy Preserved
The handler receives a custom memorial plaque on engraved steel and wood with UV-printed portrait. A ceremony is held for local southern AZ handlers.
Required documentation must be submitted within 60 days of the K9's passing.
