Our Mission
The K9 Legacy Foundation supports law enforcement canines in their final moments by funding end-of-life care and preserving their remarkable legacies through memorials. We strive to ensure these loyal partners receive the dignity and recognition they deserve for their selfless contributions to keeping our communities safe.
We exist to ensure that every law enforcement K9 receives dignified end-of-life care, is honored through a personalized memorial, and has their story preserved through a legacy memoir.

We support dignified euthanasia care for law enforcement K9s so handlers never face that burden alone.

A custom engraved memorial plaque offers a lasting tribute to a K9 partner’s service.

How We Help
From loss to legacy — we walk alongside handlers every step of the way.
A K9 Passes
A law enforcement K9 passes or requires dignified euthanasia. The K9 must be certified or formerly certified for law-enforcement service.
Submit a Request
Submit a memorial request within 60 days. For end-of-life care reimbursement, include the euthanasia invoice and a certification or retirement letter.
We Handle the Rest
When approved, the Foundation may reimburse eligible euthanasia and cremation costs. The handler receives a custom engraved memorial plaque.
Requests and supporting documentation must be submitted within 60 days of the K9's passing.
